You are welcome to sign up for one week, two weeks, or all three weeks. We recommend signing up for multiple weeks to get the full experience and a new story each week. However, all campers will need to be dropped off at the start of each week on Monday and picked up at the end of each week on Saturday.
Of course! Everyone within the grade range is welcome to register for this program.
We know this is a big commitment, and we will handle refunds on a case-by-case basis through May 1st. Cancellations after May 1st will become a credit that can be used for any of our programs in the future.
Yes! Camp will be in session the full week of Monday, July 3rd – Saturday, July 8th.
Yes, we will be offering transportation to and from the Taconic Outdoor Education Center for interested families! Our bus will pick up campers on Monday morning at the Cadman Plaza Park Entrance in Brooklyn, NY and will drop them off in the same location on Saturday afternoon.
Families can also drop off and pick up directly at the campsite if preferred: Taconic Outdoor Education Center, 75 Mountain Laurel Ln, Cold Spring, NY 10516.
Per Department of Health and American Camp Association guidelines, we are within distance of professional and emergency medical services and will have properly trained and certified staff on-site.
Camp Mythik is being overseen by Jordana Elias, our National Program Director, and Timothy Ling, our Director of Marketing and now Camp Mythik Director.
All other staff will consist of individuals who have been with our program and/or worked in overnight settings for at least 2-3 years and complete background checks.
There will be lots of questing, including some after dark, Olympic games, intensive electives galore (examples included below), and evening games that immerse campers in the world of mythology you know and love.
This is what a day at Camp Mythik might look like:
Campers arrive Monday and return Saturday.
We have ample indoor space to conduct our activities!
At registration, you and your camper will be able to choose between boys’ cabins and girls’ cabins, and you will also be able to express interest in the possibility of an any-gender cabin.
The boys’ and girls’ cabins may include any campers who identify as boys and girls, respectively, including trans campers and non-binary campers.
Depending on interest, we may be able to offer an any-gender cabin. It would be open to campers of any gender. Some examples of campers who may choose this option would be, non-binary campers, campers who would like to bunk with a friend who is non-binary, siblings or friends of different genders who would like to bunk together, campers who would prefer to bunk with campers of other genders, and campers who would feel most comfortable in this cabin for any reason.
Within the bunks, campers will be divided into rooms of either 4 or 6. Campers will be able to request one friend to bunk with at registration and we will do our best to place your camper in a bunk with that friend.
Yes! We will be sorting campers into groups differently than we will sort them into their bunks. We will do our best to group campers with their friend request.
Each bunk has a bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink, and there are additional restroom facilities and showers close to the bunks.
We’re thrilled to provide our families with camp photos through our partnership with Waldo! You will receive a link to your Waldo photo gallery at the end of each camp session. If you would like to opt-out of photos for your child, please let us know by emailing us at info@plato-learning.com.
