THE MYTHO PORTAL

Demigods, welcome to the Mytho Portal, your one-stop-shop for everything you (and your Mortal Parent) will need to play Mytho and D&D with us!

MYTHO PLAYERS START HERE: (Mytho x D&D players, keep scrolling!)

Welcome to Mytho! An exciting TTRPG experience that combines the incredible collaborative storytelling of tabletop roleplaying games and world mythologies!

Step 1: Download and print out a Hero Card, Review the Hero’s Handbook, and review the Hero Creation Kit!

To play Mytho, you need to create a Hero, so it makes sense that you should start with printing out the Hero Card – a sheet of paper that contains the base elements of your hero! As you move through these steps you will add info to this card based on what kind of Hero you want to be.

Step 2: Choose and print a Class

In Mytho, a Class is the “job” that you have as a Hero. It’s where you get most of your powers and your weapons! Will you be a spell-slinging Witch, a mysterious and dark-sided Voidmancer, or a gallant Warrior? You’ve got lots to choose from, so take your time!

Step 3: Choose a Species

While a Class is your “job,” a Species is what “kind of creature” you are. This gives you your starting Max HP, your Stats, and gives you Species-specific powers! Will you be a peaceful Satyr? Or maybe you want to be a magically mechanical Forgeborn? Wait – wait… you want to be a zombie-like Draugr? A sly Catfolk??? TELL ME!

Step 4: Everything else!

Now that you’ve got all the game stuff out og the way, make sure finish out by choosing your Hero’s name, backstory, even what they look like!

MYTHO x D&D PLAYERS START HERE:

Welcome to Mytho x D&D! A game experience that combines the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition with the mythological world of Mytho!

Step 1: Download and print out either a Character Sheet/Pre-Made Character

To play Dungeons & Dragons, you need to have a character! If you would like to try and create your own character before you step in, then you can use some of the links over at the Helpful Resources document to offer guidance. If that seems like too much, then you can simply choose a Pre-Made CharacterPre-Made characters don’t have names or backstories, but have all of the Class and Lineage information already input. We strongly recommend you come to the game having already chosen a Pre-Made Character or have a character already created in order to play ASAP!

Step 2: Choose a Lineage

A lineage in Dungeons & Dragons is the creature that you are when you play through the campaign. Lineages give you your Size, Lineage Features (powers specific to your lineage), and more! If you are making your own Character, do your best to copy all of the appropriate info onto your Character Sheet. If you are using a Pre-Made Character, then the Lineage and Class have already been chosen, so pick one you think is coolest. If you have a Lineage that you would like to use outside of the basics linked above, then go for it! Make sure you let your Dungeon Master know!

Step 3: Choose a Class

A Class in Dungeons & Dragons is basically the job that you have in the world as an adventurer. You could be a Wizard, Warlock, Fighter, Barbarian, and much more! These give you the amount of health points get, what stats you should focus on, your various abilities and features, etc. It’s super important, but can be overwhelming. Don’t worry, though, your Dungeon Master will be able to help!

Step 3.5: Spellcaster Choose their Spells!

If you chose a Spellcaster, be sure to pick your spells (if you aren’t using a pre-made character)! Each class has their own list of spells that corresponds with your Spell Level (which you can find in a table at the very beginning of your class). Don’t worry about knowing exactly how your spells work at any given time – your Dungeon Master will guide you until you’re comfortable using them!

Step 4: Everything else!

Whether you are creating your character, or using a premade one, make sure that you put some thought into things like their name, backstory, even what they look like!
