Mid-Atlantic Camp Directors

Megan Hartmann

Between supporting counselors and ensuring everyone’s safety, you can find her telling campers witty puns or showing them the finer points of handmade crafts. You’re more likely to find a book in her hand instead of a sword, but she believes a trained demigod is a prepared demigod.

Drew Jennings

Philadelphia, PA Director

Drew has been a teacher and camp director for over twenty years. He is married and has six children. Drew loves reading, hiking and kayaking with family and friends. If your heading out on the trail ask Drew where to go, he’s hiked all over the world.

Maya Jackson

Washington, D.C. Director

Maya Jackson is a child of Demeter and the director of Camp Half Blood DC. Never feeling like she had much talent in the way of being a steward of harvest or that she’d live up to the notoriety of her sibling Persephone, Maya spent many millenia travelling the world seeking her own path, estranged from the oversight of her godly mother. Two mortal summers ago, she was called back into the fold by Demeter, to serve as director of Camp Half- Blood DC and reconnect with her roots as a demi-god of the natural realm.

As for her exploits in the mortal world, Maya is a great lover of photography and the  performing arts. She earned her MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and has worked as an actor and teaching artist in regional theatres around the country.

Mason is a descendant of the Monkey King Sun Wukong, gifted with the eyes of the Delaware River Serpent. The Delaware River is where he grew up and where he calls home. He is happy to share his wisdom with the growing heroes and heroines of the future, through story and practice.

When not outside, she enjoys painting and reading. Emily also loves to spend time with her cat Willie Nelson.

West Coast Camp Directors

Peter Svensson

San Francisco, CA Director

Peter is a proud son of Saga, the Norse goddess of history, devoted to sharing the wonder of stories and legends. Over the years, he’s taught kids how to perform Shakespeare to appease Faerie royalty (but just the funny parts), the trick to escaping an angry minotaur, and the arcane magic of Greek and Latin prefixes. When he’s not running a camp for young demigods, he’s helping with his family’s llama ranch in the South Bay.

Rob Miller

Los Angeles, CA – Eastside Director

Rob is the son the Norse blacksmith Eitri. He was raised among the flat, sprawling cornfields of central Ohio, and ventured West in search of mountains. He loves sharing the joys of crafting with his fellow demigods, and swapping stories of heroic journeys. Outside of camp, he enjoys going on adventures with his very good dog, Raincoat, who he suspects is a descendant of the great wolf Fenrir.
